Family policies
Photos of your child
We ask your written permission before we share any photo of your child, on this site, in newsletters or on social media, and you can change your answer at any time. We never put a child's name with a photo, and the photos on this site are examples until we replace them with our own.
When to keep your child home
A child with a fever, vomiting or a contagious illness stays home until they are well. If a child gets sick at school, we call you right away, and a teacher stays with them until you arrive.
Absences and late arrival
Children arrive between 7 and 8:30 a.m., so circle time can begin together. If your child will be absent or late, call or text the front desk before 8 a.m., and we'll walk them in when they arrive.
Drop-off and pickup
An adult on your list brings your child in and collects them at the front door. We ask for ID until we know you, and we call you before releasing a child to anyone who isn't on the list.
Late pickup
If you are running late, call us, and your child stays with a teacher. If it happens often, the director talks it through with you.
Meals, snacks and allergies
We serve a morning snack and an afternoon snack. Families pack lunch from home. Tell us about allergies at the tour; we ask privately once you enroll. We ask families not to send nuts.
What to wear and bring
Dress your child for play, in shoes that can run. Please pack a full change of clothes in a labeled bag and a water bottle. Coats and boots go on the hooks by the door.
Closures for weather and holidays
We close for Thanksgiving week, the winter break and the main holidays. When snow or ice keeps buses off the roads, we text every family by 6:30 a.m.
Leaving the program
We ask for a month's notice in writing, so we can offer the place to a family on the waitlist.
