How tuition works
What sets tuition, how a place is held and what each fee is for. The director goes over the amounts with you at the tour.
Tuition depends on the schedule you choose: the half day, the school day or the extended day, and how many days a week. Because Grain takes part in the state's pre-K program, the school day fits together a little differently from the other two, and the director explains how at the tour.

Registration
A registration fee opens your child's enrollment file and covers the first set of forms. It is due when you accept a place, and the director gives you the amount at the tour.
Holding a place
A deposit holds a place and goes toward your child's first month. When both rooms are full, your family joins the waitlist, and we call as places open, in the order families joined.
Billing
Tuition is billed monthly, by autopay or by card at the front desk. Days that belong to the state program are handled between us and the school district.
Help with tuition
We take part in the state's pre-K program, and some families also use state child care assistance for before and after care. Ask us how it works with our tuition; the answer depends on your family.
More than one child
If you enroll more than one child, ask us how the rooms and schedules work for your family.
Withdrawing
We ask for a month's notice in writing, so we can offer the place to a family on the waitlist.
A few costs sit outside tuition: supplies for the year, two field trips in the spring and extended care hours beyond the school day. Each is listed by name and purpose, and the director gives you the amounts at the tour.
Ask about your family's schedule
The director can go through the options at a tour, or over the phone.
